Truer words

From Seth's blog today

Your customers and employees and investors will remember how you treated them when times were tough, when they needed a break, when a little support meant everything.

No one in particular will remember how you acted during the boom times.

What does this mean for us?

Actually, it should mean business as usual for us!

Obviously we should always strive to meet high service standards; to always consider how our institution can better serve the public; to plan how we can individually improve all aspects of our own performance on the job...

The quotation, though, serves as a great reminder--a gentle prod--that we shouldn't just be coasting along but should make sure that "business as usual" meets those high standards of service.
